Meet Our Executive Director

Winnisquam Watershed Network is proud to announce a major milestone in our journey—welcoming Sara Steiner as our very first Executive Director!

Sara brings over 20 years of experience from the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services, where she served in the Watershed Management Bureau. For the past 18 years, she has led the Volunteer Lake Assessment Program (VLAP), empowering communities through citizen science to monitor and protect the health of New Hampshire’s lakes and ponds.

Her extensive background in freshwater resources, lake ecology, invasive species management, and community engagement makes her an ideal leader as we continue our mission to safeguard Lake Winnisquam and its watershed.

Sara will begin her role in a part-time capacity at the end of June. We’re thrilled to have her leadership and dedication as we continue building a sustainable, resilient future for the lake we love.

Please join us in giving her a warm welcome to the WWN family!
