Safeguarding Meredith’s Waters: A Community Forum on Cyanobacteria
Join the Meredith Cyanobacteria Committee and local partners on June 18th from 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM for a community forum focused on protecting our lakes and raising awareness about cyanobacteria. This event is organized by the Meredith Cyanobacteria Committee, with support from the Waukewan Watershed Advisory Committee, Windy Waters Conservancy, Meredith Neck Islands Alliance, Winnisquam Watershed Network, and the Lake Winnipesaukee Alliance. The evening will feature a presentation by Laura Diemer of FB Environmental, made possible through funding from the Waukewan Watershed Advisory Committee, highlighting the Waukewan Cyanobacteria Monitoring Source Water Protection Grant Project. A panel discussion will follow, with representatives from UNH, NHDES, and regional partners addressing questions and discussing how communities can respond to the growing challenges posed by cyanobacteria. Local organizations will have display tables with educational resources and opportunities to get involved. Come learn how regional collaboration is helping to protect our waters and the steps we can all take to safeguard the health of our lakes. Click on the meeting invite RSVP link to register.
