Unconfirmed Report of Possible Cyanobacteria Bloom Lake Winnisquam 5/26

When: May 26, 2025
Where: Lake Winnisquam, South end near outflow
Status: Unconfirmed as of May 27 a.m.
Bloom Description (picture below): Medium sized floating green clumps.
Tentative Sampling Plan: Sample sent to DES May 26
Notes: The WWN has received an unconfirmed report of a possible Cyanobacteria bloom at the southern end of the lake, near the outlet. If anyone is in that area and can send us photos of the bloom we’d very much appreciate it (text to 802-449-6035).
